For us, innovation means continually evolving our design and building practices to create better homes. Building a custom home is both art and science—there’s creativity and craftsmanship along with the technical build specs and project management.
We research advances in building materials and methods to streamline the building process, increase energy efficiency and create homes suited for emerging technologies. This may include state-of-the-art framing solutions, new composite materials, comprehensive lighting systems and built-in technology infrastructures.
Our goal is to ensure the most-up-to-date and effective techniques and materials are used to build your home.
SUSTAINABILITY
For each project, sustainable building practices are reviewed with our clients to optimize the home site, minimize energy use, and utilize environmentally preferable products when possible.
Whether it is preserving trees on the building site, utilizing solar water heating, creating a water catchment system, or using salvaged wood beams, we will consider the best ways to incorporate sustainable practices into our process while maintaining aesthetics, cost effectiveness and functionality.
We are familiar with the local hill country terrain, building codes, subcontracting practices, city and county ordinances.

OUR HISTORY
BUILDING FAMILY LEGACIES
Building Hill Country Custom Homes For Over 21 Years, Kevin Travis Homes' legacy of excellent work came from his bloodline. It’s rich in home building history, dating back to his great grandfather who owned and operated a lumber yard and constructed entire town squares and state buildings in the late 1800’s.
Kevin was born and raised in Texas and grew up next to a cattle ranch. Pursuing his passion in construction after completing college, Kevin worked side-by-side with one of the Hill Country's most sought after luxury, high-end home builder, Bill Dunn. Kevin ran Bill’s Wimberley operation and along with Bill, constructed multi-million dollar projects scattered throughout the Texas Hill Country. It was here, working with true custom tradesmen that Kevin learned to appreciate a higher level of construction.
